I seem to have very few issues with looking at wikipedia for spoilers of TV shows I’m watching. BUT, I have found that spoilers for books I’m reading really hurts me.
Not to the point that I stop reading it, but book spoilers set me right over the edge and make me a little sad.
Does anyone else find that?

OMG I JUST SAW THIS AND I’M SORRY YOU WENT THROUGH THE PAIN.
It’s such a good book tho!! I cried, made my mother and sister read it and they cried… it was a good old crying fest.
A good book to get over that particular type of book-hangover is, in my opinion, to re-read a book that has very little to do with what you’ve just read. For example, I might re-read The Lunar Chronicles or Harry Potter. Just so I can cleanse my palate with something I know I like and then move on from there.
Its not a very good or really helpful recommendation, but that’s just generally how I’ve fixed my book-hangovers.
Okay. Here’s the deal. I need a real in person book club or knitting group in order to get me out and meeting with physical people on a regular basis. I’ve looked on MeetUp and there is only one in my area and there aren’t really any in my area of Southern Connecticut.
I’m willing to drive up to an hour away if it means that I get to meet with people who are doing something like this. Literally ANYTHING would be great.
If you have any suggestions or thoughts please let me know. I need human interaction that isnt’ my family or work.
I hate/love finding that I missed a new book being released into a series I like. Its a love/hate thing because of reasons:
Mostly, the problem is that I WANT TO READ THE FECKING BOOK NOW NOT LATER THIS WEEK WHEN I HAVE THE TIME.
Eff.
Never again | Ugh | Eh | It was okay | I liked it | I really enjoyed it | Loved it! | OMFG | I died from love | Never read it | Plan on reading it | Will look into
pacific rim really went OFF with drift compatibility. like, there was absolutely no reason the jaegers couldn’t be piloted by a single person; a bunch of teenagers managed it just fine solo in evangelion, but guillermo del toro was like “nah, we’re gonna reinvent the concept of soulmates with mecha and kaiju” and then went and did just that, the absolute madman,
